I once caught a large black rat in s. Ohio that disgorged a pair of small rabbits. I had a fox snake that ate a squirrel. And Moellendorff's ratsnakes love small rats. But I've never had a captive black rat large enough to eat large rats, not that they aren't capable. Your call, but I wouldn't feed it live. TC.
