:I woke up this morning to 8 BIG beautiful eggs! This is my first year to breed fox snakes. The eggs are enormous! Pic is of male. Take care to all!

Hi Jeremy,
Congratulations on your vulpina eggs!
I live in Chatham, Ontario, Canada and I work in little town about 20 minutes from me called Tilbury. Anyway, I drive to work on a twisty country road which follows the sinuous curves of the Thames river. During the spring and summer months I find many beautiful Fox Snakes which have been run over while crossing the road, and even a few which I think have been hit on purpose, judging by the tire tracks. What a horrible shame.
A friend of mine has shown me a couple of spots where we have found several beautiful adult specimens alive and well, and last year I even found a little baby curled up in the middle of the road during a warm fall day. I gently removed him from the road and let him go in the field.
Sorry, I'm rambling... I just love Fox Snakes; they're so great.
As is so well illustrated by the pic accompanying your post, these are gorgeous snakes, and I envy you being able to work with them. Our wildlife laws here do not allow us to do so.

Thanks for sharing the great pic.

Simon
