: I am having a really tough time trying to get my pair of blue beauties to feed. I cooled them down for 4 weeks to low 60's and warmed them back up about 6 weeks ago. Since then, I've seen them copulate. I put them together for a few days and then separate them repeatedly, but for the last 2-3 weeks they've eaten hardly anything. Could it be their temps are too high (mid 70's at night to low 80's in the day)? Or something else - any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave
Hey Dave,
Are these WC or CB animals ? "Blues" come from Burma and it's still pretty cool over there in the Mountain area's where they are found. I think mid 80's is a little too hot, I keep all my taeniura between 75-80 in the day. dropping a little at nights.
Also it's not unusual for taeniura to go off feeding during mating time, especially males.
