ok they were sold to my husband as yellow rat snakes however they look more like a grey rat to me as there is NO yellow at all in their coloring.
Yellow rats usually are a dirty yellow, with brighter yellow along the sides of the throat, and blending to dirty yellow along the body. The chin and throat are white, and this white gradually blends into the belly colour. Along the back, there are usually four parallel stripes of a blackish or dark olivey greenish shade.
However I'm not sure if there is a difference in the two other then coloration?
Greys are usually of a grey or silvery background colour, with black or very dark grey blotches all along the body. They also have the white chin and throat, blending into the belly colour.
Also 2 of the eggs are yellow and really really soft looking?
Those two are probably infertile, and not worth incubating.
