Eight weeks could work, Jim, it does with other snakes. I never tried that period with my adults. Three months is just the suggested time, based on how hardy they are in the wild. Where I live in northern Michigan, it's advantageous to have a long hibernation, since we have long winters. I have a female on lone which I got around Christmas and I'm trying to get three months hibernation on her, and the male will have to be in about five months to be out the same time as her. He has done this before though. Good luck with yours and let me know how you do. TC.
