Based on what folks from nearby states have said, however, they should be pretty black with little pattern evident. I don't have any pictures of NY rats. If you find one, post some pics. :Well I finally got some one at DEC in NY to call me back.YOU have to request a permit they review it and decide if they are gonna let you collect and it only cost 10.oo not bad since fishing lisence is 16.oo.IF I find any I will post some pics,THANKS
