Hi, Ford.
I'm in a weird situation myself. When I first thought to get into the taeniura, I wasn't really sure I wanted to take on this species, so I got an albino, het. for albino, and 1.1 het for calico, so that I'd have more interesting breeding projects with the mutations.
I actually like the subspecies, E. t. taeniura (the Chinese stripe-tail), as a normal. They are beautiful snakes and the smallest subspecies, so easy to care for. But I have since decided I don't have enough time and room for this species along with more than a dozen others, so I am going to sell them.....eventually.
Now, don't get me wrong. This isn't an ad. I'm not going to sell them right away. Actually I'm going to breed them first. Can you guess why?
When I bought these, there was only one I was sure about with the genetics. I was told the others were het, but we all know it's nice when those first babies pop out of the eggs, and the real thing is running around (or, I mean, crawling). Anyway, I wouldn't feel right selling the hets until after I've shown positively that they are what they are :)
If you want to see some pics, go to Ratsnake Haven's Gallery. Meanwhile, let's try a site you can get some more info at.
