I bought a pair of small subadults about four years ago from a friend. I fed them heavy for about six months, not planning on breeding them for atleast another year or two so they weren't cycled at all. I put them together for about two minutes for a cage cleaning and they started breeding right away. I left them together for a few days until the male lost interest and she laid fertile eggs that hatched. I fed her good right after she had laid and I had another viable double clutch. This was all done without any cycling. Not an expert but my experience. (BTW, I bred them again the following season, double-clutched and I sold them). Good luck.

:Hm.. well i certainly didn't expect this when i walked into the room last night. I was waiting for this girl to shed before seperating them into tubs and cooling them, but I guess it wasn't really needed. Whats the likelyhood of her producing without cooling? What are beauty's reproductive cycles like? My only colubrid breeding experiance is with cornsnakes. LOL. I plan on sticking to beauties from here on out. Any info would be greatly appreciated. IE How long til laying, incubation length and temp, ect.
