To my mind, it isn't "fishy" at all! The fact that they first showed up in Europe is probably due to the fact that there's a very limited number of foundation animals over there. Of necessity, inbreeding will occur more frequently when the foundation stock is numerically small. The more frequent the inbreeding, the higher the probability that hidden recessives will reveal themselves.

:I heard from the horses mouth that there was a het male sold at the orlando show several several years ago.Bill bought it and started his long project from one het male.

By selectively inbreeding, one het animal as the foundation of a morph line is all that is required. In the next generation, some of the offspring of the het, bred back to it, will produce homozygous recessive offspring that can then be outbred to unrelated normals to produce 100% het stock. From that point, it takes only one more generation to establish a viable, and sufficiently genetically diversified gene-pool to start offering heterozygous and homozygous animals for sale.

:also, somebody said it didn't look amel to them?Who said they were amel?Nobody!they are albino.Albino doesn't always mean amel.

The problem with using the term "albino" for snakes, is that it is nondefinitive. Snakes may be either amelanistic (so-called "red albino"), anerythristic ("black albino"), or a combination of both traits ("snow", "blizzard"). It is essential that we apply the correct terms to our animals, and avoid the term "albino" altogether, since it only causes confusion.

I would have to say they are probably a extreme hypo or maybe a t+ albino.I have seen and held these snakes and in no way are they hybrids.

Looking at the "albino" in the picture, I agree. I'd be more inclined to designate it as a hypomelanistic. It lacks the clean red colour of an amelanistic snake.
