If there's any judgement to be made from regarding the "hypo" bairdi, then I'd say that a cross would not be nearly as metallic as I'd like. Less grey, basically.
I could be completely wrong, of course. Maybe that cross is the way to go in the long run, and line breeding from there.
We'll see. I love the idea. maybe I'll hold back all of my 1st clutch just to see.
The big problem is that you really cant tell until at least a year has gone by.
You'd have to buy a non-striped adult to be sure, and I've seen precious few adults for sale.
