It IS a nice specimen, but who knows. You could use it to breed generic bairdi and eventually, whatever is was that originated will pretty much have fallen into obscurity.
In any case, whatever the history, they are pretty and youy'll have fun with them.
Let us know if the temperament or any behaviors vary from typical bairdi activity.
