I have used Flagyl on both G. oxcephala and G. janseni with absolutely no problems. I have noticed though that the mortality rate tends toward the overall condition of the snake. It seems that if the snake is fairly unaggressive, it won't make it. In my experience with the afformentioned species unaggressive snakes won't feed well, and snakes that don't feed well haven't been feeding well, and snakes that haven't been feeding well...well, you know the conclusion. I hit my snakes with both flagyl and panacure, then hit the food, any way I can think to offer it. If I can get them to eat, they will survive. I have never seen a feeding snake die. Just my experience.
