Contacting Jim Kavney of Hiss-N-Things would be a step in the right direction! Jim was working with a group of them and had success in captive reproduction, so his husbandry skills with them may be of more use than others. We have considered keeping them, however, the mortality rate is very high and from what we have been told wild caught specimens are a poor investment. Husbandry information leads to similar care for the Red-tailed green rat snake and the salawasi may just be a sub-species or the same snake, just a different locale. Good luck!
