Hi folks, I have this rat snake that a bunch of you helped ID and it is quite unique. The thing about it is that it doesn't seem to like to hide. In the year that I have had it, it may have been in it's hide once.

Now, I'll try to give you a real quick run down on the history of this snake. He/She was at a pet store where there was no hide in it's cage for months (untill I took her). She had quite a bit of damage on the top of her head and the tail at one time was snipped. The night I brought her home she had a regurged mouse in her cage and she was completely covered with mites. Yes, I know I was buying trouble. I got her for $25, the guy who owned the pet store said he gave up on her. Anyway, $175 and 2 vet visits later she came around. She almost died on my. She can be a little snippy but at least she has a nice home now. I think she is rather old because she only shed twice in the past year and she eats every week. Well she wouldn't eat the past 2 weeks but I do believe that is due to getting a little cool where I have her right now.

Wow, sorry for the book. I was just wondering if any of you have these guys that don't hide? Her tail and head are healing (more than I expected with only 2 sheds). Her tail is becoming pointy again. I have also never seen this snake drink either. Thanks in advance!!

Greg
