I see snakes everyday that I want but I made up my mind to stick with cornsnakes this time around. ( I had kept snakes before)
There was one problem though. I had always found Bairdis interesting but when I kept snakes in the 80's I had no way to get them. I would see them in books and I saw one mentioned just briefly on an old episode of Marty Stoufer's Wild America. Well, I would see a pic here and there of Bairdis since I got back into snakes and finaly just decided I had to have a couple.
I love them. They are such sturdy little guys. They just seem thicker and more robust then my corn hatchlings and the Black rats I have raised. This is by no means saying my corns aren't healthy, they just don't seem to be quite as thick as the Bairdis.
They are fairly jumpy but it is obvious they are going to settle in and make great additions to my collection.
Sorry to ramble but I am seriously pleased with these guys.
