I believe that the current consensus among herpetologist gives full species status to the eastern fox snake (now Elaphe gloydi) and the Great Plains rat snake (now Elaphe emoryi). See CNAAR's checklist (link provided below) for a list of all species and subspecies. (The page deals with all U.S. and Canadian snake species, but it won't be too hard to find Elaphe.) I'm not aware of anything more up to date than that.
