: Well, they seem to like their temps a little on the cool side.(75-80) When given a warm temp gradient like I would for a lot of other colubrids (75-85), I would never seen them on the warm end of their enclosure.Mine are problem-free shedders. About an hour before they're ready to shed they soak in their water dish and then shed in one piece every time. They grow fast. If you buy a hatchling, it can grow to 4 or 5 feet in it's first year. This is probably why they breed so young (18-20 months).

After they've mated for a few weeks I warm them back up and start feeding them again. The male might not want to eat for the next few weeks; he still is only thinking about breeding. Thanks for the info Mike! I am seriously thinking about buy a pair. Do you know of any good breeders of them?
