I have owned WS since 2000 and have found them to be a very hearty species. I have had no problems other than my male being nippy and flighty when young. Now he is a 5 foot male that will eat anything in sight and is very easy to handle. Now that the female is of breeding age I have had a bit of fasting trouble out of her. Nothing to be concerned about as far as health or weight loss but enough that to know it was time to breed. IMHO they are a very good snake to keep.
