Howdy y'all,
I have two questions and I apologize if they seem elementary or anthropomorphic.
1. Frequently I see the term HET, as in HET for albino, etc.. What does HET mean?
2. I have cared for snakes most of my life but never Ratsnakes. My two Russians (male and female) are together in a 55 gallon tank with 8 hide boxes and grapesticks and vines for them to travel on, which they do. I am also aware that snakes are solitary animals but these two will actually seek each other out to curl up together, and if one is in a hide box, the other one is there too. They have also synchronized their shedding to coincide with each other, instead of being staggered like when i first got them. Has anyone else who house ratsnakes together seen this or am I just reading more into these actions? They are only about 24" long right now.
Thanks, Scott
