possibly exactly what KJ has offered as something to consider with husbandry of captive snakes. Sorry, KJ and Daryl, the other kisatchie didn't make it. The K corn was a female and had been regurging. I tried the things you think of for regurging. Wait several weeks, warm her up, etc. I took her over to a friends to work with regarding regurging. He has been working with her for awhile, then she swells up just before her cloaca and dies. Vet says some foreign material or object had work its way through her digestive track, but got lodged before it passed out her cloaca. It may have been substrate (I use aspen), something that was in the substrate (there happens to be a few other things in a bag of bedding), maybe something I didn't see on the rodent I fed, I didn't push it that far. But I will definately be keeping my eye out for these things and will take and appreciate the rather tidbit of info from KJ about not feeding on the substrate, expecially hatchlings and subadults. I've added quite a few snakes to my collection over the last couple years and I may have gotten careless or lacking with my husbandry procedures. BTW - vet mentioned that foreign materials and items get lodged in snakes more frequently than we think, especially with hatchlings and subadults. Keep that in mind if you have a snake that starts regurging and keeps regurging. That's most likely not the problem, but keep it in mind.
Now what's this jumping thing? If that's jumpimg on you, then KJ go right ahead and jump my case everytime I say something. I didn't even see KJ disagreeing with you. You posted a pic of a feeding snake and he made a husbandry comment on the pic. That's what happens sometimes when you post a pic. You think you are posting a pic to show off your snake or something about it, but keep in mind that not everyone just looks at the snake. The whole pic is on the forum for comments. I wish you had posted the pic several months ago and KJ had made his comments. I may have rechecked the importance of avoiding things getting ingested by my snakes. Maybe I wouldn't have who knows. Good luck and remember comments to something you post or pics are usually just that. Comments on the pic or the post. Sorry I lost the kisatchie KJ and Daryl.
