You have me curious and I would love to see a picture if you can get one.
It seems you get a lot of interesting Taeniura in. I would like to be at your place when the Asian box hits the door.
If you can get a hold of a copy of Schulz's book on Elaphe it is a great reference for Taeniura. It has good descriptions, scale counts, maps and pictures.
I fought paying the $150 for it but bit the bullet last year and have not regreted it yet.

:Ok so i have a 5 foot or so freak beauty snake, from where it was collected i would say its taeniura or a yunnanensis. However because its a freak, I can not tell by pattern or color.
:Does anyone have a scale count on the subspecies? It would really help me. I will post pictures of it once I figure out what it is.
