Sorry you have a problem with your first ratsnake, but you didn't pick the easiest one. You didn't say how big it is. Most rats are easy to care for and handle. I had taiwans in the past and could handle them, no problem, even when they were over 4 ft...but at feeding time it was a different story. This subspecies of taeniura is a very aggressive feeder..if you want to keep your fingers you know how to act. Stripe-tailed rats usually tame down with handling but its true they seem to be part racer. Good luck nightflight..this is a tremendous species and i hope you stick with it...Terry.
