Terry, the bairdi I've kept have been a real pain, but the male who was regurging awhile ago is fine and eating adult mice now, although still a sporadic feeder. He's putting some size on finally.
I guess he's about avg. for what you'd see in a wc yearling.
My female, on the other hand has eaten a mouse a week since I got her, and is pretty big for a yearling. After holidays I'll post some new pics.
HOWEVER, the female ate 2 mice a week ago and regurged for her first time. This was not the first time she ate 2 mice, however.(These are the only species of snake I've kept to regurge for me)
The new young ('02)female I got from a friend who works at a reputable herp shop. Someone brought in a bairdi bought at a show. She was very calm and seemingly healthy, so I traded a baby snow corn that I'd been looking to unload for the bairdi.
A few days lateer it ate a pinky just fine.
A week later she shed. That night i fed her again, and she regurged 2 days later.
I didn't think much of it, and just waited 7 days to try again.
Well, she was plenty hungry and ate a tiny pinky.
@ days later, another regurge.
OK, I'm getting nervous so 3 days later I give her some acidophilus(which worked on the male, by the way)
She puked THIS tiny dose up in 2 days as well.
So now I'm out of town for 10 days, so I put her in the cooldown room until I return, at which time I plan on warming her bit by bit then another feeding attempt(pinky's head) after a week or so.
I went back and forth on the cooldown decision, but decided it would burn less energy and she is liiking a tiny bit thin now.
Ok, that's about all.
I'm not worried about the big female, though. She's always been a good eater, and I'm guessing maybe she got a "bad mouse" or something. :)
