:Thanks to all who responded to my earlier post, it is quite helpful, & I really enjoyed the pics & interaction. They are supreme beasts !!! My question is this: what size cage or enclosure does everybody keep their adults in, or what size do you THINK an adult should be housed in? Any suplamental heat? Do you bring them down in the winter, and if so, to what temps? Thanks in advance for your input !

Hi Paul,
As I've mentioned, I'm not an expert on Cavers, but here's how I keep my pair of adults.
They are housed individually in custom-built melamine enclosures measuring 36"X22"X22" with sliding glass doors. I suppose I could use a bigger cage, but they seem quite comfortable in these. They are kept at the ambient temperature of my snake room, which is approximately 80F, and I use no supplemental heating. They feed and digest perfectly within these parameters, for me.
I am currently cycling the temps from 80F in the daytime to about 70F at night. I had the two together last week-end as an experiment, and the male was all over the female, but she didn't really show any co-operation. I didn't expect any "action" because I've only just started to cycle 'em. Time will tell.
I hope that this may be of some help to you.
Cheers!
Simon
