I had wanted cavers since I was a kid and we finally got a pair this year from Ronda at Northwest Herp. We are more than happy with them. Simon described them well.
We too also noticed they like it a bit cooler but not as cool as what he seeing. If you get them, you will not be disappointed. Their color change makes each shed something to look forward to...kinda like our scrubs and carpets!

: Hi Paul,
:I don't have a LOT of experience with cavers. I have owned an adult pair for about five months and I LOVE them. They are one of the world's most beautiful and elegant creatures, IMHO.
: Mine are quite handleable and have never bitten me.
: My pair seem to dislike temperatures much over 80 degrees F and tend to coil around their water dishes if it's too warm.
: I keep mine at the ambient temperature of my herp room (approximately 79 degrees F) with no supplemental heating and they seem to thrive.
: I think that when you research this species you'll find a lot of conflicting info. What works for one person may not work for another!
: Cheers!
