Have you compared that price to any leucistic rats listed in the classifieds? That seems a bit high if it is a Texas rat, which I assume you are talking about. Might be close to OK for a leucistic black rat. Unless, as already mentioned, you are talking about an adult snake. Then that may be a decent price. I just pulled a price list out of my drawer that lists the leucy texas rats at $75, but that, again would be for a baby. Do you have any reptile shows that come near you on a regular basis? Are you talking about a "pet store" here? I got my leucistic texas rat for free from a breeder friend of mine, but that was because she has the "bug eyes" and he knew she wouldn't bring a good price, anyway. Do you have other ratsnakes? If you are just starting out, I would think you could find a good ratsnake for under $100, but, hey, I'm kinda cheap anyway! Good luck. Duffy
