:That she is home and doing good. One thing. If the heat rock you have is one of those that you plug in and its supposed to create heat for the snake?? Go and get your money back for it and get yourself and under tank heat source. Those heat rocks are bad news!! They can actually overheat and burn your snake. Now that you have went through such an ordeal, I would hate to see your snake get injured. You should place the light on the same end as the heat source. That way the snake has a warm end and a cool end. She can go to where she wants to thermoregulate her body temp. I am running a 40 watt light bulb with a heat source under the tank. That works fine. Dont go with too big of light bulb, you could overheat the tank really fast with a high watt bulb. Even a 75 or 60 watt bulb could get too hot! Just keep an eye on the tank until you feel comfortable with it. Hope this helps and keep us posted.

::Well she is finally home. The one thing I have to do is soak her twice a day to help her shed the remaining part of her skin, about 2-3 inches at the end of her tail that hasnt come off. I already soaked her once and got most of it off. She is looking good and much more livlier than I expected. She already had her first meal at her home and she is looking very happy. One question I have though - I have a heat lamp at one end and covered heat rock at the other. Is that okay? Or should I move something around? Thanks again for all your concern and when I get my camera working right I will have some pics of the lil lady.
