In Reply to: Kaiser coming home... posted by kudleguy on November 28, 2002 at 22:12:41:

Hello Mark,
We are so happy to hear "Lil Kaiser" is coming home,
and it sounds like she is going to be fine.
We had a good T. day, until about 3pm. My baby Blotched King
has been hiding out for about 2 weeks now, and Doc thought he
was probably getting ready to shed, and not to worry. Today we
decided to take a look at him under his hide, and I got the scare
of my life! He was curled up in a ball, very dark in color, very
cold, and stiff as a board. I lifted him from one side, and he
felt like a stiff plastic toy. I thought he was dead, and then
he finally moved, and started "rattling" his tail, just to let
me know who the "Boss" was, and he was "hot" about being woken
up!!! He then ate 2 f/t pinkies, his color came back, and now, he
seems just fine. Going to pick up a larger tank, with an under-
tank heater for him this weekend, and hopefully, he won't try
to hibernate on me again. I know they slow down quite a bit
during the Winter months, but "Lil Jaffo" REALLY gave me a scare!
Best of luck to you and Kaiser! Jan
