Good point. Nothing was in his cage when I sprayed it. If I remember properly, I let it dry for a good half hour.

I will say that I haven't seen a mite since. The vet did say that some snakes are just more sensitive than others with that certain ingredient that is in a lot of these sprays. Prent-a-mite is not the only spray that uses this active ingredient. He gave my snake a small injection of stuff that they give cows (I forget exactly what it was, would have to look at the documentation) he also injected him with saline solution because my snake wasn't drinking. The first time he spit it right back up. The next week when I took him back in, because he was like a rope, he kept the saline solution down. Things started looking up after that.

:Thanks for the heads up. I hope your snake's all right. Was it exposed to a sprayed surface before the surface was fully dry, or to contaminated water? It's the fear of such that prompted me to treat only the newspaper to be used as substrate (and to do that outdoors), and to wait extra long for the paper to dry before putting any in a cage.
