I bought 3 last year and I had to assist feed them for about three months. I just put the head of the pinky in their mouth and held it there until they started to swallow. Every so often I would try to put in a live or thawed pinky to see if they would take it themselves. After about three months they did start and haven't looked back. They are great feeders now.
I did read that they also like fish, but have not tried that. Mine feed well enough anyway.
