Beautiful snake, Terry.
I just picked up a hatchling male from Don Hamper ($250). Of course, the real challenge is finding a female. At any rate, he settled in quickly, and ate a live pinkie his first day. He's covered and cool, and yes, definitely a hands-off animal. Attitude-wise, he has none. It could be he's just settling in, but my hatchling albino Nelson's milk snakes are more skittish then he is.
Mandarins are gems, but Robyn's E. coxi, the Thai Bamboo rat snakes, were absolutely stunning in Valley Forge this past weekend. Their colors are amazing. My next snakes, right after I find a female Mandarin.
