I have found that the Texas Rat attitude is unjustified. His attitude is no more predictable than most other rat snakes. Some are mean as hell some NEVER bite. Some grow out of a juvenile attitude some NEVER do. I have a georgous Orange phase female that has never bitten, she is now 5+ feet long.. I also have a couple Leucistics that may bite one time and not the next.
