:Since Randy hasn't responded yet, I thought I'd jump in with my experience. This past year I successfully bred my 1.2 ridleyi for the first time. On the advice of Mike from The Boa Kingdom, I offered the ridleyi a night temp drop during the months that the rest of my colubrids were brumating. I tried to keep the day temps in the mid to upper 70's, and night temps in the mid 60's. I did offer food throughout this "cooling" period, which they took with gusto as always. I didn't feed nearly as often as I usually do though... I'm just not in the feeding mode during the winter. I'd estimate they were fed every 2 to 2.5 weeks (which doesn't amount to very many meals over a 3 month period). I also introduced the pairs together during this time, and witnessed copulation on several occasions. Everything turned out great. The ridleyi didn't seem to have any problem digesting meals, even at the reduced night temps.
