Hi, Pierson. Hodgsoni, that's a good one. Not many people have ever seen one live. I think Schulz from Germany may have had one at one time. My theory of the way the Elaphe have evolved out has hodgsoni in with longissima and persica in a Southern Asia radiation. I believe they evolved from "trinket snake-like" ancestors. Maybe you'll be able to see some resemblance within the "Coelognathus" group, especially flavolineata.
E. dione is one of my favorite species. These South Koreans make especially good pets and have lots of neat qualities. Let me know if you need more info on them. Here's a pic of a w/c pair from Seoul, S.K.....
