:I have a 3 month old Trans-Pecos rat in a 10 gallon cage. I saw a beautiful Baird's rat today at a petstore that is the same size as my trans-pecos. Would there be any problems if I had them share the same cage or would there be some problems? I have never housed 2 snakes in one cage before.

10 gallon is o.k. for the sub-oc right now.But if you want the bairds,you should seriously think about another tank/enclosure.They both should be housed seperate.
