:Hi
:I'm thinking of getting a rat snake and was wondering if anyone could tell me some of the smaller species that are available as I don't have alot of room.
:Thanks in advance

Hi, Ribbit. The smallest ratsnakes I know of are the miniature Eurasians: dione, bimaculata, and situla. Some of these make great pets. The South Korean dione are awesome pets and pretty shades of brown. Females get about 40 inches, with males at about 36 inches. The Chinese twin-spots are a little more secretive, but are quite small with females around 36 inches max, and males a little smaller. The leopard snakes might be the smallest of all with females maxing at near 36 inches and males somewhat smaller. I keep all these species in ten gal. tanks. TC.
