I checked out the pics of your Caver...very NICE! He's got a really blue head, hasn't he?!
My female is very close to seven feet (I have not actually measured her yet), however I HAVE measured my male carefully recently and he was almost exactly 87 inches (7'3").
Temperament-wise my two are great, however I should state that I'm fairly used to aggressive snakes. They are easy to pick up as long as you gently wake 'em up first instead of just grabbing them. They occasionally flatten their necks and hiss a little, but they've never struck at me or bitten me. Once in hand, they are very docile and are very impressive to handle.
I'd like to ask what the feeding response is like on your guy? Both of mine will aggressively take rats from my hand.
