:I have personally had 4 beautiful hypo bull snakes that were all found in the same field, and they weren't hatchlings but 4-5 1/2 feet long. I know of two others that were found in the same field. The six were all found in two consecutive summers, the four I had by my father-in-law, one summer of 2001 and the other 3 in 2002. What are the odds on that one. Not only were 6 specimens found but all 5 of them that I had the opportunity to see were different. Do you suppose, because it was in the city limits that this was an instance of someone releasing a pet bull? Maybe, but we'll never know for sure. All but one are known to be dead now and the remaining one escaped and is dead or alive in my basement.
:Also, there was just a post on the bull forum by John Cherry showing his pink patternless southern pines. The post is http://forum.kingsnake.com/bull/messages/11973.html in case you would like to check it out and he says they were all found in a half mile radius.
:Now I realize these are pits, not rats, but what are the odds? Maybe not that great but it does happen. So, are you calling us liars too? In my opinion it is your problem not ours!
:Maybe you haven’t had the thrill of finding or obtaining an aberrant coloration or pattern in the wild but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen!
:This has been interesting but has really wasted a lot of forum space! I for one would rather see the pics of the awesome rats that K.E. had been posting than this drabble. I also hope he continues to keep us posted on the progress of his progress. I would love to have the opportunity to work with a project like his!
