Talk to some Fish and Game officers and you will learn that fishing licence sales are down...way down in fact. The median age for those with hunting and fishing licenses is on a steady increase. There is a nation wide concept that it is dangerous to go outdoors with threats like West Nile virus from mosquitos and Lyme disease from tick bites. At the same time, people are spending more and more time watching their televisions inside their homes.
: This is in addition to all the dickie-birder anti-hunting, anti-fishing lobbyist crap now having a loud say in the way the govt is being run, not to mention the "politically correct" crap that is teaching kids in school that it's not right to do anything of the sort. Then, there is just the fact that there are more preservationists now than conservationists (save every thing vs. taking healthy harvests)
