I wouldn't worry about it - it can be a 'get off me' reaction. Most females exhibit this behaviour when you initially put them in with the males for breeding. A lot of elaphe will do this from time to time, especially if you keep multiple animals in enclosures. Is she in with the male? havew they recently reached a breedable age?
