They can be a bit ‘bitey’ if you time it wrong – I’ve learnt to expect trouble if they’re in full on, hunt mode (especially after the lights have gone out), when it seems they’ll strike at anything moving (probably a case of ‘you’re moving, you’re warm – you must be food’). Mind you, this would be the same with most, if not all, predators.
Overall, mine aren’t too bad, but they can be a bit moody, & you have to be able to read their body language – get it wrong &, BAM, you’ve got some nice teeth marks to show your friends.
Still, it never gets boring !
