Sometimes....Depends what species you're referring to. What kind of snake is "Loki"?
Some of my ratsnakes, like my Mandarins, are nocturnal. I have a large food jug in their cage. Often I put a thawed or live mouse in before I go to bed, and it's gone in the morning.
Seems there's always more than just one answer to a question. BTW, you don't need any kind of light at night. Snakes are adapted to finding prey in the dark, no problem, heheh.
