I keep King Rats. I house them in a rack system and keep them near the bottom of the rack where it's slightly cooler. Right now the ambient temp is about 78-80 and they also have a hot spot created by heat tape underneath that is ~86-88. They don't stay on it much though. About your sporadic feeder, I've had some that wouldn't feed on live rodent prey but would take thawed easily. It seems some of the babies are easily intimidated by live rodent prey. Have you tried frozen thawed?
:I have a hatchling King Rat snake. Its an irregular eater. Its fed for me but seems to be "reluctant".It would rather strike at it and rattle its tail.Any tips on housing ,temp, any info would be greatly appreciated!
