:Why you're asking the questions after the fact I don't understand. Of course he doesn't know how to eat live food if he's never had to. What would you do if somebody dropped a cow in your house? I doubt you'd be thinking it was dinner time. you're doing right by asking questions but use your head at the same time. Don't be one of those dorks that got a snake and thinks it's cool to watch it eat live mice. It isn't and you snake may have gotten bit and is going to die for sure. if he doesn't be a positive roll model for him and teach him all you know. Above all else use your head, you should have known that answer on your own. Will he bite again? He's got teeth..
