I agree with most of the statements other than grasping the snake behind the head. If you have never done this before, you run the risk of severly hurting the snake. Pinning should only be done by those that have sufficient experience. If you are that much of a baby about getting bit, wear gloves. It is not like getting bit by a small rat snake even hurts (I took concurrent hits from a 5 ft long texas rat and did not even flinch). Another idea is to just cover the sides with some sort of light cloth so that it will not suffocate the snake but will keep him from seeing you and vice versa. Andy
