For those folks that only see herps in sterilite boxes at herp shows, part of an animals story is missing. By getting out and seeing all components of a snakes habitat, be it pristine forest or barn yard, I think one developes a deeper appreciation of the uniqueness of each type. The vernacular used in each geographic region adds color to this experience.
