: I'm still looking for some information on the temperature requirements for Taiwan beauty snakes. Any keepers let me know what temperature gradient you keep them in, and if overhead heat or undertank heat seems to be more proficient.
I keep one hatchling that had the option of using the warm side of his tank, but he never seemed to use it, so I removed it (my apartment is pretty warm). He seems to prefer cooler temperatures than my corns and other rats, and his appetite is unaffected. I'll offer the pad again when they cut the heat in my building in the spring, but I suspect he won't want it. Hope this helps; good luck.
