LOL. Too true, K.E. Gene testing is not all it is cracked up to be at this point. I agree with what you say here, especially if the KY obseletas are (geologically) recent intergrades. When I was doing testing on Gallus species, it was determined that the four species of Gallus were very difficult to distinguish from each other, except through mtDNA. I think it will be many years before the testing is developed that can give the kind of definative results that everyone wanting the "facts" seem to think is possible now.
