The lower belly colour in normal E. o. obsoleta, is an opalescent bluish grey colour (sometimes a bit creamy, or even yellowish). In normal E. o. lindheimeri, it is usually an opalescent dirty peachy shade, or even may be pinkish. The body background colour in E o. obsoleta generally ranges from grey, through black, or through olive-green. The background colour for E. o. lindheimeri is most frequently a shade of tan, or an orangey red, and sometimes possibly a tannish grey.
As I said before, your snake looks to me very much like a light coloured southern specimen of E. o. obsoleta. The most knowledgeable person to assist you with identification, is probably Dwight Good.

:Very important... As far as my communications with the seller are concerned. Would a picture of the belly help? As I said below, the tongue color is not red, but almost totally black. This is supposedly a 2001 captive bred TX Ratsnake... I am getting closer and closer to believing it may possibly a wild caught or maybe a captive hatched BLACK ratsnake.
