If it was a Texas Rat Snake, it would have a red tongue.

It looks very much like a pure E. o. o. of southern ancestry.

:Is this a TX Ratsnake or a Black ratsnake? It is supposedly captive bred and a 2001 hatch. I'm not trusting what I was told... It's tongue color is black.
